To the family: I am so sorry to hear of your loss, not only to your family but to ours at GI Care for Kids. I have worked with Susan for several years and from the day I met her, she has always greeted me with a smile, a hug, and a genuine concern about how you were doing. I always walked away from her feeling like we were the best of friends. I will miss her but I will not forget her. God Bless you all to be comforted with peace during this time. Sincerely, Tammie Bell

Susan was a wonderful person and great friend. We met her at Dr. Elliott's office in 1995 and were soon good friends. I can hear her laugh and see her smile. We took many memorable trips with Susan and Konny and always had a great time. She will be sorely missed by us and many others. I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Know that she was loved. Debbie & Mary Dennard

When visiting our cousins as a child, I always looked forward to Susan’s lighthearted mirth and big open heart. She loved people and things in a big way, and she always “told it like it was.” What a treasure she has been to all of us, and how missed she will be.

My heartfelt condolences to the family who produced the incredible person who was Susan. It was abundantly clear to me how dearly she loved her family, and my thoughts and love are with you during these difficult times. Susan was genuinely the kindest soul I had ever met – a sentiment shared by so many of our patients and parents whom she showed such caring for. Our days were warmer and brighter because she was in them, and we will always keep her in our memories to keep her light shining for us.

No words can even explain how devastated I am by the passing of our friend and co-worker, Susan Collins. She was so kind, caring, compassionate and the epitome of what it means to be a nurse. Always willing to listen and provide sound advice in any given moment. She brought so much life to our “spa pod” and GI Care family. It does not seem real that you are gone but I know you are looking over us and hope you know how loved you were. We will miss you Sue Collins. I wish I could “quiet scream” in frustration and us both crack up one more time. Roll tide my friend.

To Susan's dear family ~ we are holding each of you very close to our hearts in thought and prayer. Your Susan made a huge impact on all of us when we were neighbors across the cove in Loch Arbor. Susan's beautiful smile and fun loving nature will be etched in a very special place in our hearts. When we think of Susan - that is the picture we see. Jaime & Sally always loved when your Susan and Laura Ann would take the time to swim across the cove to play with them when they were little ~ Showing them the art of doing 'cartwheels' on the dock and into the lake. My prayer for you in time is you will feel peace ~ as our Lord wraps HIs Love around you & all your family ever so strongly just as He is Susan ~ We love you ~

I am so very sorry to hear of Susan's passing. Mr and Mrs Collins, Laura Ann and Reid, I remember such great times back in high school when not only did I know Susan through Laura Ann, but shared French class with her as well. She was such a bright light...filled with joy, humor and compassion. Susan was a very special person that touched all who came to know her. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.

Dear Susan's family, I am so sorry to hear of Susan's passing. She has been the nurse for my son for over 7 years, and in-turn has also been my nurse for this time, as she has guided me through some very difficult times as a mom. Susan was always patient, thoughtful, kind, encouraging and thorough. She was an angel. I just don't know how else to put it. She was an absolute angel. I am so grateful and will always be for having had her by my side through these past years. I will miss her greatly as I know you all will. Susan and you will continue to and will always be in my prayers. Love, Julie Hammond

Our deepest condolences to you all. Our children are patients of Dr. Liu and Susan. She has been such a blessing to us as we have sought her wise counsel and direction to bring better quality of life to our kids. She ALWAYS took the time and care on the phone, in person and never rushing us. Every opportunity to show genuine, authentic care made her more than just our nurse. We are so sorry to hear of her passing and will keep your family and her GICK family in our prayers as you heal.
